- The National Convention of pharmaceutical Educators, organized by Indian Pharmaceutical Association was hosted by our college on 4th and 5th March 2006 in Velumaniammal Auditorium, SRIPMS campus, Coimbatore. The theme of the convention was "Developing a new role of pharmacy educators in health care". More than 500 educators of pharmacy colleges from all over India participated in this convention which honored Sevaratna Dr. R. Venkatesalu, Managing Trustee, S.N.R. Sons Charitable Trust, by awarding Pharmacy Educators Award 2006.
- The 16th convocation was held on June 30th 2006 during which the college maganize "Genepha 2006" was released. On the same day Alumni association meeting was held in which more than 350 alumni participated.
- Five post Graduate Students of our college Ms. P. Vasanthi, Mr. L. Alagappan, Mr. G. Saravanan of Pharmaceutical Analysis Department, Mr. S. Sharfudheen & Ms. S. Angeline Premlatha of Biotech Department were awarded Scholarships for their projects by the Tamilnadu Pharmaceutical Welfare Association, Chennai.
- A one day seminar on " Carrer opportunities and Advances in Pharma Field" was conducted on 28th October 2006 in our college & the following dignitaries were present. Dr. B. Suresh, President, Pharmacy Council of India and Principal, JSS College of pharmacy, Ooty, Prof. K. Chinnaswamy, Chairman, IPA Education Divisio member, and EC Member Pharmacy Council of India, Dr. N. Uduppa, Manipal Pharmacy College and Dr. Sheela Karalam Special officer, Research Dept, Oushadi, Trissurm Mr. Jayseelan, Director, Ardian Healthcare, Chennai, Mrs. Rohini Home Science Department, Avinashilingam University were also present.
- The semifinal round of National Elocution competition conducted by IPA was held at the College of Pharmacy of 28th October 2006.
- Ms. N. Habeela Jainab 1st M. Pharm Student won the III prize in the final round of National Elocution competition conducted by IPA at Mumbai in Dec 2006.
- Our Post graduate students actively participated in the cancer screening project "DEEPAM" organized by Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Oncology and Research, held in February 2007, and were a part of 'The crusade against cancer'.
- More than 45 students were recruited by 12 various Pharmaceutical companies like Zydus cadila, Pfizer, Dr. Reddy's etc., through campus interviews conducted through the employment cell of our college.
